Obama administration crosses religious line

The latest power play of the secular Obama administration is to mandate (under the pretense of “health care preventative services for women”) that all employers provide sterilization and contraception including abortion-inducing drugs (morning after pill).

This order forces all institutions, including Catholic hospitals, universities and service organizations, to go against their conscience and pay for things they consider immoral and against their firmly held religious beliefs.

For more than 2,000 years, the Catholic Church has done much good for the poor and downtrodden of any faith or even no faith. Unless the church opts to provide service only to those who share the Catholic faith, it will be heavily fined for not going against one of the basic tenets of the Catholic faith.

The protections under the Bill of Rights for the free exercise of religion are being ignored and trampled on by the power-hungry Obama administration.

Do we really want our free exercise of religion taken away? This is not just a Catholic issue. If this can be done to the Catholic faith, it can be done to any faith and to any of the other freedoms granted us as protection against the government.

Luckily, we Americans can vote for change. In November, we need to vote to change this administration.
