Catholic teaching?

I read with great dismay and sadness the letter “Let women decide (June 25 and TribLIVE.com) by Joseph Samuel Rogers, a junior at Central Catholic High School.

I am very saddened by what appears to be wrong and very liberal teaching at Central and Mr. Rogers’ complete misunderstanding of the Catholic faith.

His letter voices choice for women with regard to abortion — this is totally against the teachings of Jesus and spits in the face of Catholicism.

If this is what is being taught at Central Catholic, I call on Bishop Zubik to immediately examine all of the courses and instructors at Central and make sure they stay on mission with the tenets of the church.

Our bodies — male or female — are not ours, but given to us by God to glorify him.

Life starts at the moment of conception — and each life is precious and accorded all the rights given to all human beings.
